To keep our attorneys informed about what is happening
overall at the firm, we hold weeky firm wide meetings
that enable senior firm management to discuss new
initiatives, client successes and the direction of the
firm that provide all attorneys the opportunity to
express their ideas and concerns about the firm.
We care deeply for the proper training of all of our
attorneys. Part of our philosophy
includes a "learning by doing" atmosphere with our partners
serving as mentors and coaches. In that regard,
associates are actively involved in cases and
transactions right from the start, and have the
opportunity to assume responsibility and exercise
authority early in their careers.
While a career as an attorney can often be stressful and
time consuming, we respect our lawyers' families and
encourage activities outside the practice of law because. Other interests also lead
to more thoughtful and well-rounded individuals who are
able to provide a greater contribution to the firm's
success.
R&P Summer
Associate Program
The R&P Summer Associate Program has become an integral
component of the firm’s attraction and retention of
young, talented attorneys. Given the size of our firm,
our summer classes are necessarily small. We believe
that the size of our program gives law students the
ability to see first hand exactly what it is like to be
a young associate at the firm, as they receive the same
type and quality of work that our first and second year
associates receive.
Law students in our Summer Associate Program work on
assignments in each of our practice areas: Family Law,
Criminal Law, Labor &
Employment, and Personal Injury. Each summer associate has a
mentor and receives both formal and informal training
and significant feedback throughout the program.
